Pura Vida Photography began with one photographer and one simple goal: to create beautiful, natural photographs while making every client feel completely at ease and showing the beauty of Grand Cayman.
For the first 6 years, every photo session was photographed by me, Amanda. As the business grew busier and more clients wanting to book, I knew I needed to find someone who shared the same passion, style, drive and approach to photographing people.
That person was Sole.
Today, we're proud to work together as a small team, giving our clients the same relaxed experience and timeless photographs Pura Vida has always been known for. While I remain the Owner and Lead Photographer, Sole has become an invaluable part of the business, and I couldn't be happier to introduce her to you. We look forward to getting to know you.

I have been a photographer in Grand Cayman for 20 years, I am totally in love with the Ocean and my island life - making your photo dreams come true!
I naturally have a lot of energy and am a very jovial, happy person. Your shoot will be like having fun with an old friend while she bosses you around in the nicest possible way :).
I pride myself on professionalism, honesty and my ability to tune into other people's energy. This enables me to adapt quickly and find your frequency - I believe this is key to producing happy clients, truly understanding what their photo dreams are and clicking them into reality - preserving the most amazing memories and stories.
I will also be the one at the end of your screen, replying to e mails, answering your questions and making sure your booking is easy and hassle free while ensuring we understand exactly what you would like from you dream shoot!

PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I'm sole (Sol-lay), which means sun in Italian. It honestly fits me pretty well! I'm sunny by nature, energetic and I genuinely love the people I get to work with.
I got my first camera when I was 10 years old after begging my parents to buy one as a Christmas present, and never really stopped shooting after that. What started with photographing everything on a trip to Kenya, quickly turned into a lifelong obsession with capturing real moments and real people. After a detour into studying marketing (which confirmed numbers are definitely not my thing), I found my way straight back to photography and haven't put the camera down since.
I moved to Cayman to finally work as a photographer full time and found Pura Vida Photography, the timing was perfect. The stars aligned and everything fell into place. It was meant to be!
